Acupuncture in Stillwater

Acupuncture toolsAt Hall Family Chiropractic Clinic, we offer whole-body and ear acupuncture to help our patients with a range of conditions. This ancient, holistic healing modality began in China and has become quite popular in recent times because it uses the body’s own healing energy or “chi” to help create optimal health.

Our Approach

Dr. Danial Hall has a Diplomate in Acupuncture from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture in Carefree, Arizona. For most of our patients, he uses auriculotherapy, which is based on the notion that all the systems of the body are represented on the ear. He uses an electronic device to stimulate the appropriate points on the ear.

We also offer full-body acupuncture when more in-depth healing is required, such as for post-whiplash patients whose ligaments aren’t healing appropriately with other types of care.

What Can It Help With?

Acupuncture needles are placed in specific areas of the body along energy “meridians” to help balance the flow of chi in the body. When the body is balanced, health is created from within. In this way, acupuncture can often be helpful with a wide range of issues, such as:

  • Chronic or recurrent pain
  • Sciatica
  • High blood pressure
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Neuropathy due to chemotherapy
  • Fertility

In fact, many IVF clinics recommend getting this therapy after implantation because it may help the body hold the pregnancy.

What to Expect

The needles used are very fine, about the diameter of a human hair and there is typically no pain when they are inserted. Patients may feel a bit of pressure or discomfort, but this is mild and usually subsides quickly. Full-body therapy takes about 30 minutes, whereas auriculotherapy is shorter.

Dr. Hall will explain everything he does and answer all of your questions, so you feel comfortable with the process.
